Luna Jones is a young lady with a mutant ability. At a young age , she was diagnostic with dissociative identity disorder because she was often seeing talking to herself and changing behaviour and acting strange. Luna's parents came from a linage of witches. Her mother izabelle is an ancestor Salem witch from Massachusetts. Her father; Michael is a mortal. They first met while they were both studying at the university of Boston. They both fell in love until he learn about Izabelle and what she can do. Izabelle's love for Michael made her decided to left the cult she was in with her family since she was sixteen. Together, they left Boston, to go to England for awhile. This is where Luna was born ( a couple of years later). Luna Emma Jones on February the 14th ( a beautiful valentine gift for them)
luna's childhood was filled with love and joy. Izabelle's fear was that she would be a witch like her but her power didn't manifest right away. but something happen to her at a very young age. At the age of 4, she had an imaginary friend. She said her name was Ophelia. At first, the parents weren't really concern because it was normal for a child to have an imaginary friend but they soon learn that Ophelia was very much real and present. Since Luna was young, Ophelia couldn't get control over her because they both were the same age; a part of her. As year passed, Ophelia started to take control of Luna from time to time, making her do things like strange change in behaviour. When Ophelia was taken the place , she would usually try to harm people. When Luna was eight, she almost set the house on fire, but quickly said that it was her, it was Ophelia who did it. Her parents were afraid for her, and brough her to a doctor who diagnostic her with a dissociative identity disorder and gave her medication to calm the voices. It work for a couple of years. Ophelia was gone and Luna didn't hear her, see her. Then, at the age of ten, Luna started to show sign of magic, which frightened her mother. She didn't want her to have this burden and this danger that can be magic but it was part of who Luna was. Izabelle started to teach her basic spell for protection, for the greater good. She teaches her the natural magic (the white magic) and warn her daughter at a very young age to never ever touch the dark art (the dark magic) who was beyond dangerous and destructive. During the next year, she only use magic for good but the warning that her mother didn't tell her is that the effect of protection from Ophelia started to vanish, which wake her up. Ophelia could feel the magic sucking in her but what was more interesting for her was the dark magic. The magic of chaos and darkness. Luna try to shut the voices, to shut Ophelia but not even her medication could stop it. Ophelia was draining Luna's energy and life force to have control over her. Luna's behavior started to change drastically. She wasn't the sweet, kind and loving person that everyone new. She was different. She wasn't herself. When Ophelia wasn't taken control. Luna was trying to find a spell, something to shut her down but it only make Ophelia angrier until at the age of fifteen, she knock Luna's mind, sending her far away and took control. That part is mystery since Luna has no memories of what happened. The only thing she knew is that when she wake up,; her hand were filled with blood and she was holding a knife. Both of her parents were killed. No matter how much she try to say that it wasn't her, no one would believe her. The police send her to a juvenille prison, then to an asylum, where they give her medication, driving her insane. She was lock inside of her mind, having to listen to Ophelia planning something that would blow her mind.
Eventually, Luna couldn't take it and try to take her own life, but was safe by Ophelia who was stronger than her. Luna was weak. Giving up was the best option, which pleased Ophelia because she took her place, and ran away from the asylum, using dark magic and witchcraft to set her free.
Luna woke up, days or weeks later (she doesn't know. She lost track) in a mansion. She was in a room, surrounded by people she didn't know until she learn what was the place. It was called the Xavier's school for gifted.
luna didn't left her room for weeks. She shut everyone out, for their own protection and for herself. All of her life, she has felt like she was insane, crazy. She didn't know that she had an ability, a gift. For her, it was a cursed. A dark cursed pass on by her family. She didn't want to harm anyone or get too close to people. for her gift could be a cursed. She was fearing for them if Ophelia resurface.. She could still hear her voice. Hear her calling her crazy, telling her to ran away. To leave because they would take her away from Luna.

She wanted nothing more than to feel at home in the place where she slept.
pressing her back against mounded pillows to keep warm, retracting the day a shadow filled that space.
She shivered as the icicle of times ripped through her sheets like wind bending a tree in half and she squeeze her eyes tighter.
unwilling to open them to the room and invite the night to stay long.
Headcanons
Luna has a kind , loving , caring personality. She is the total opposite of Ophelia ; her alter ego. Luna is a witch with immense power due she never learn to control it and because Ophelia control her since the age of ten.
Ophelia is the alter ego of Luna. The evil and dark part. She is the reason that Luna killed her parents and got send first in a asylum before she was taken to Xavier's mansion. Ophelia is dark, malicious, and has no hesitation to use Luna's magic to harm.
